“Localização perfeita porém caro pelo que oferece”

O local do hotel e ótimo ao lado das ruas badaladas , restaurantes , cafés porém o preço cobrado não condiz com o que se oferece . O quarto e charmoso , limpo? Porém o café da manhã e no mínimo bizarro , a garçonete nos entrega um cardápio oferece do algumas opções , detalhe específica 2 ovos !!… Mais

Porém o café da manhã e no mínimo bizarro , a garçonete nos entrega um cardápio oferece do algumas opções , detalhe específica 2 ovos !!! Ou seja temos direito a uma escolha , não há bufê somente 3 pães ,manteiga vencida e um suco de caixinha !!! Isto para um valor de aproximadamente R$ 1.000,00 a diária . Ficamos indignados , como Se não bastasse não trocam os pratos nem copos , pedi um café e a moça sem cerimônia pegou o que eu usava e somente encheu .

“Great location shame about the lack of guest service and noise”

The hotel is well appointed and our room was well equipped and nicely decorated. We had a small terrace which was nice to sit out early evening. The hotel is well appointed and our room was well equipped and nicely decorated. We had a small terrace which was nice to sit out early evening. We should have had 2 nights here but due to a flight change only had one so we didn’t manage to try breakfast and didn’t eat in the hotel. “Breakfast” was a challenge as we asked our guide to ask for an early breakfast which was a no can do. She negotiated a breakfast box (given we had paid for full breakfast didn’t think this was unreasonable) and to save waste (as no desire to eat cold eggs and plain bread which was being offered) we asked just for fruit and yoghurt. Told no fruit other than a banana! Our lovely guide pointed out they clearly did have other fruit given it would be served at breakfast shortly after we left so in the end we did get melon, dragon fruit and a banana with yoghurt (oh and the eggs and a yellow croissant but we gifted those to the driver !). Likewise no help when we asked for fresh milk for a coffee in our room- “we don’t have milk”. As others have noted the hotel has a great location but with that comes a lot of noise and we had very loud music from the bar on the lower level of the centre blasting in the room until after 10. Then it was much quieter. In the end not so disappointed we missed a night here and an extra one in Lijiang.

The room was beautiful and the central location within town was convenient - nearby shops park restaurants and supermarket. Breakfast was good. Laundry was good. However nearby West Street was very loud and noise prevented sleep until after1030 pm. In am there were loud jackhammers. We asked for and received earplugs. Ask for room in a section facing away from West Street. Future soundproofing of rooms in the far wing would be helpful for tired jet lagged travelers . Wi-Fi was slow.

There are many good things about the Amari. The design of the hotel is lovely, rooms are carefully laid out with a Thai aesthetic and they are spacious. There are many good things about the Amari. The design of the hotel is lovely, rooms are carefully laid out with a Thai aesthetic and they are spacious. The location of the hotel is excellent near West street but it can be a bit noisy. Where the hotel starts to lose some points is in its staff. Reception staff are friendly but this is a 5 star International hotel and so you would expect a) Chinese b) Thai and c) English given the clientele - we saw numerous visitors struggling with staff with limited language and the need to use google translate.
