“Honeymoon”
Very pleasant stay, ambience is really nice, we really like the room decoration, happy to stay, definatcome back, guys at reception & hk so nice and helpful. Definitely come back soon, love the place forever n ever

“One night stay”
This was a stop on the Kumano Kudo Trail. I arrived about 3 p.m. and went to the spa, which was refreshing. There are no showers in the rooms so that one can shower (and soak) in the spa. The dinner was excellent. The room was spacious. The service was efficient and friendly.

“Good food nice outdoor onsen”
Very few choices for lunch but turned out to be excellent soba with lots of mushrooms and beef with good stock. The hotel onsen is 800 yen and has a range of pools including 3 outdoor with nice mountain views. A relaxing afternoon.

So I actually haven't stayed at Hotel Subaru but I live here in the village and frequently visit their restaurant, onsen, and pool. I have to say it is all exemplary. Totsukawa itself is a charming mountain village with access to the Kii mountain range pilgrimage and very ancient monasteries/shrine… Mais
