In all the years that me and my family have been going to Baguio, we have been frequent guests at the original Hotel Veniz in Burnham/Abanao. So when I decided to travel alone, I tried this new branch of Veniz in Session Road, which is relatively new. BEFORE ANYTHING ELSE: I don't know if it was just me, or if this branch DOESN'T ANSWER their phones or e-mails. A month before my stay, me and my family members also visited Baguio but we stayed at another hotel, which was located in Leonard Wood Road. So I decided to drop by the new Hotel Veniz Session to reserve for my travel/stay the month after. I gave my stay dates, then paid upfront. Now, a few weeks before my trip, I decided to create an account in Visita Baguio to schedule my travel, since it is a requirement for people going to Baguio, as part of pandemic measures. So after creating an account and scheduling your travel dates, you will need to inform your hotel/accommodation place of your travel so that they will coordinate with the City Government and have your travel application approved and you will then be issued a QR Coded Tourist Pass. As my departure date was nearing, I decided to contact Veniz Session's customer service to have my Travel Application in Visita Baguio approved because the website said "Pending". But lo and behold: all the landline and mobile numbers in their calling card WERE NOT WORKING and WEREN'T BEING ANSWERED. I tried the next day and the day after next, but nada. I even tried emailing them to explain the situation and ask for help but NO REPLY EITHER. I even tried calling them on the day of my departure to Baguio. WALA PA RING SUMASAGOT SA PHONE NILA. Good thing the bus company helped me with my little problem and I was able to get my QR Coded Pass, then travel and enter the city smoothly. Check-in: 2:00 pm. But you can always leave your stuff in the front desk if you arrive earlier. Check out: 12 noon. Note: There is a P500 deposit, which they will return once you check out. Location: Right smack in the middle of Session Road, so it's close to all shops, eating places, etc. Room: Look and feels new, since it's a new hotel. But just like the others say, if you're feeling claustrophobic, you might wanna reconsider. There are no windows. So if you wanna breathe or see the outside world, you need to step out of your room. I obviously booked only for myself, so the room that I was given, was really a room, na pang-isahan lang talaga. Pang tulugan lang talaga/ Addendum: During my stay, I was surprised to find they didn't provide newspapers, or the Nescafe sticks with the cookies like they do in Burnham. Wi-fi is very fast though. A/C is also okay. There's hot and cold shower, hair dryer, cable TV, and a lot of storage for your things, and also a reasonable amount of power outlets. Breakfast: Complimentary breakfast at the McDonalds on the ground floor. You need to ask the front desk to issue you a new stub, depending on your length of stay. If that isn't your thing though, you can always grab a bite at the nearby restaurants in Session. Hopefully they would also have complimentary non fastfood breakfast and have a Veniz Grill or Cafe Veniz in that branch too. Other notes: Aside from the McDonalds and French Line Bakeshop at the Ground Floor, the building has a resto on the second floor named Wingyard. Reception/Staff: Very helpful. I just didn't tell them about my troubles contacting them about the Visita Baguio thing anymore. But then again, I just hope they would answer their phones next time.

Okay. Let's start with the positives: Hotel Veniz is accessible, has parking, friendly staff, good amenities like a TV, WiFi (not so fast 8mbps max), air conditioning and a refrigerator. They have buffet breakfast! Negatives: Coffee cups are not thoroughly cleaned. It's advisable that you bring your own paper cups. Second, shower is too small. When we were there, the elevator frequently broke but this is okay because I'm super into fitness. Anyway I guess this is par for the course because the rates are super low for a room with buffet breakfast and a great location. Overall 3/5 for me.

“Accessble hotel”

The hotel was a good location to stay at because it is nearby the night market and burnham park. However, the rooms are not that clean and they don’t have adequate lighting. However, the pricing is good for its accessibility.
