The owner bor manager needs to give the Afternoon Front Desk Lady a raise! She is Five stars employee. I stopped at this Days Inn (owned by Wyndham at Richmond,Kentucky) because it was the first motel I came to on the Interstate 75 exit there. I stopped because it was pouring rain,while I was driving to my home in North Carolina. The Days Inn motel chain I have always considered a fairly good motel. But it had been many years since I had been to a actual Days Inn and at least ( if I remember correctly) at least 10 years since I had been at a Wyndham motel in Parkersburg or Vienna,West Virginia, for my mother-in-law's funeral. My motel room was worn and old looking that I was in, so I can't say all the rooms looked like that. And I think they were actually filled up but the front desk lady employee found me one that she said they were re-modeling. She said they were not finished with it yet. Other than the smell of paint(there was a splotch of dried paint on the side of the toilet). I could of made them a list of things that needed to replaced, and hopefully they will include my suggestions starting with a new lamp for the desk, and there was not a lamp on the night table, so they need to buy one for that too, And a new colorful bedspread would have looked nice in there as there, as there is absolutely no color in the room at all, and I am not color blind. I use to watch Anthony ____ on the Cable Learning Channel. He was a professional renovator of motels and hotels and I learned alot of things to look for in a motel room,as to whether it was good room to stay in or not. There was a little refrigerator and microwave , but I don't know if they were clean inside or if they worked, as I didn't use them. There were plenty of white towels, but one of them in the bathroom had stains on it. Whoever is in charge of washing them, didn't use a stain remover on it . And bleach alone doesn't take out red stains from ketchup,barbecue, or blood. I know, because I have had many of those type of stains and I have had to use special stain remover to get the stain completely out. So I took that one back to the front desk lady. There were still plenty of other ones. It had a bathtub but I didn't use it, and didn't notice if it had a shower head or shower curtain, as I have attention deficit disorder, and over focus, so I was just looking at the toilet as that was all I needed the two times I was in the bathroom. In my cooler I had a quart of frozen yogurt that I needed to keep frozen, so I asked the front desk lady if they had a freezer and she said yes, and said she would put it in the freezer which she so graciously dod for me, and I really appreciated it. I was thrilled that it wasn't going to melt, before I got to eat it at home, as we don't have it where I live. The front desk lady went above and beyond to give me a room ss I think they were booked solid. So that is why I got that room that was still being re-done. Hopefully, when it is re-done next week it will have a phone in the room and possibly a colorful bedspread and window curtain and the paint gets removed from the toilet. The front desk lady is the reason I would stay there again as she has a beautiful, kind,and generous personality and went out of her way to accommodate me yesterday afternoon( she apparently works the day shift. At least she was working around 5:00 p.m. when I needed a room. The morning front desk man employee, was helpful too, in showing how to use the ice machine, as it was different than ones I had used in other motels before. He also retrieved my frozen butter pecan yogurt from the freezer for me also. So this motel has great employees , the owner just needs to put more money into making ALL of the rooms pleasant looking to their guests and everything functioning well.

“Everything about the motel was totally acceptable.”

Everything about the Motel was acceptable. Well equipped with microwave,refrigerator and internet. The room was very clean and updated. We will definitely stay next year on the way to Florida. The front desk person very pollite and friendly.

“Not the best, but not the worst.”

Our stay was uneventful. Definitely needs updating but overall it was fine. There were a few roaches seen in the week we were there. So that definitely should be addressed. The free breakfast that was offered was very minimal and not worth the walk to the office area to get.
