“Great choice for a week to ski”

Primarily we wanted to ski in Kitzbuhel area, being the best in the world for the past 6 consecutive years. This hotel was perfect located, with only a half an hour easy drive to any of the cable cars from the area. The room was great, big enough (40 sqm), with lake and mountain view. The spa area was good too with 3 types of saunas: wet, dry and infrared. Dinners were tasty and big (3 courses each) and breakfast with a lot of bio food choices - excellent. They also served a tea and cookies at 5 pm for free. Parking included and free. We also opt to learn cross country skiing and the school was just 5 km far from hotel. Overall a great place, with a fair price. We will probably look to comeback again when we'll ski in the region next time. Enjoy!

“Another wonderful visit ”

This was our third stay at this wonderful little hotel . We were delighted to have the same room again . The staff are amazing, rooms very very comfortable and the food exceptional . We loved the sauna and steam area .

First class hotel in an excellent location. The staff and owner George were really welcoming and nothing was too much trouble. The room/ views from the balcony were stunning, and the food ( with choices of starter and main courses) meant you needed to exercise during the day as they were of the highest quality and would satisfy even those with a large appetite. The Wellness Centre which included a small seperate Gym, a Sauna, Infa red and Steam Room with a fantastic relaxtion area were also "second to none" that I have previously stayed in whilst travelling in Europe. Parking was easy in a secure area next to the hotel. Only downside was no pool at the Walchseer Hof, so swimming and lake access was via a neighbouring hotel five minutes walk away.

We have been visiting Walchsee for many years and although we have not stayed here before we have dined here on many occasions. Due to a stroke of luck or timing our regular hotel was fully booked so we opted to stay here. The hotel is amazing, it is it is located on the lake side of the main road and has a large car park which is shared with the smaller hotel next door. Although the hotel is large it only has 23 rooms, which makes for a quiet stay. The reception area is quite large with lots of comfortable seating, the staff are great, friendly and attentative without being over attentative. Dining can be taken either in the large restaurant area or outside withe views of the mountain and church. This year 'a la carte' has been dropped and the only option now is half board. The food was amazing, every morning at breakfast you are given the evenings menu and you just filled in your selection and left it on the table. However when it is time for dinner you are always asked if you are still ok with your choices, The room we had was large, a comfy bed, sofa, desk, wardrobe, toilet and shower in separate rooms, and amazing views through large windows. It also had a great balcony. The hotel does have a fitness suite and massages can be booked via reception. It does not have a pool or large childrens play are, (it does have a small play area though) but the facilities of another family hotel can be used, this is only a few minutes walk away. We styaed there for a week and I could honestly say that I didnt find anything to say that isn't positive about it. We have already booked for next year.
