In the Mt Dandenong Ranges, so beautiful up there and cabin was good and enjoyed our stay, staff very helpful

We stayed at Hush Cottage. The first thing we noticed on arrival was the stickiness of both the floor and the bench tops in the kitchen. We stayed at Hush Cottage. The first thing we noticed on arrival was the stickiness of both the floor and the bench tops in the kitchen. The bed was the tiniest I've ever experienced but a larger bed wouldn't have fitted into the tiny bedroom. The lounge area was quite spacious and comfortable. The heater was efficient and there was a wood fire in the upper lounge area but NO WOOD! That had to be purchased at an extra cost! Really? Not very guest-friendly.

😎 #Introduction Booking and subsequent communication: This cottage is run by Lotus Lodges. The majority of communication was with them. Whilst calling was a challenge, my pre-visit questions were answered promptly when I sent in an email to Lotus Lodges. The same is true to the text message communication during our visit. Parking: There are clear instructions on how to park, to ensure next door (also run by Lotus Lodges) can comfortably park too. Whilst this was a small parking spot, we got the hang of it. The street itself was fairly quiet as it was a no through road. Entering theProperty: There is a small porch with a seat, and an auto light which comes in handy for the night time. There was also a wood bin full of wood for the fire. 😎The Rooms: First room – Sitting room: This is where the fire place is. We didn’t need the fireplace so cannot comment on it’s usability, but there was definitely wood. It was made clear that the fireplace is not meant to be a heating option (there is a heater in the other room). It’s just for ambience. There were two comfortable chairs in front of the fireplace and some books to read. Second Room – Bedroom. This room had a double bed. I believe there was also a fold out bed in the lounge room sofa but we didn’t use this. There were touch lamps on either side of the bed. Everything was in good order. Third room – Kitchen: The kitchen has a full stove and oven which is why we chose this place. Microwave oven too. The drawers were full of every pot, plate, and utensil you would need. We noticed the rangehood was not working – and Lotus Lodges later confirmed this would be attended to after we vacated. There was one roll of paper towel. We were staying for 7 days so we had to get more. Forth Room –Lounge: The lounge room had a tv, and DVDs to watch. Wifi was available and working. There was a heater and air conditioner which we used during our stay. Fifth Room – Bathroom: This room had a spa bath and shower as well as a toilet. This was a very tiny room, not much room to put toiletries, but manageable. When using the spa, we noticed leaves or debris coming out of the jets when we turned it on. There were two rolls of toilet paper. We were staying for 7 days so we needed to get more. Backyard: There was a porch and a seat outside, aswell as being well-lit. Throughout: We found quite a few spiders inside and out (quitter normal for the area). There were two empty cans of bug spray (not sure if this was left by Lotus Lodges or the last tenant) but we had to buy additional bug spray (it was a good investment). 👍 #TheyDoThisWell Easy communication via email and text message Full kitchen, air conditioning and heating. Quiet neighbourhood. We got the whole place to ourselves. 🤔 #OpportunityForImprovement Please supply a good amount of bug spray for the regular bugs and spiders in this area More toilet paper for people staying more than 1-2 days More paper towel for people staying more than 1-2 days 😎 #Conclusion Great place to stay. Will do it again.
