Not far from the bentre about 2KMs. They serve a continental breakfast which is included, cereal. raisinn toat . fruit etc.Decent filtered coffe or you and order barista coffe made to order for around $5. The atmosphere was OK. They have free Darwin Times newspapers in the lobby and a drinks and snacks dispenser that works with a credit card. It was cheap enough for my daughter to have her own room. I'd stay there again .

First time in Darwin and I lucked out with this hotel. I stayed for seven nights and was very happy with everything, although I did move rooms as I found standing in the bath to shower too slippery. The price was amazing and included continental breakfast. The plunge pool was a nice luxury. The rooms were large and comfortable: walk-in shower, dry bar with good sized fridge, glasses and cups, work desk and balcony. It seems to be a long-stay kind of place, but the lack of kitchen sink and microwave/hotplate would limit that for me (however, you can use the communal microwave in the breakfast room). The king bed was very comfortable and the pillows and towels were fine. Wifi was included and undercover parking was available for a fee. Walking to the city centre took about 15 minutes, but there were restaurants and grocery stores nearby. Receptionists were helpful and welcoming.

Hotels in Darwin are inexplicably expensive. The Argus doesn't quite live up to expectations. The rooms are clean but utilatarian at best with minimal amenities. Hotels in Darwin are inexplicably expensive. The Argus doesn't quite live up to expectations. The rooms are clean but utilatarian at best with minimal amenities. Check in staff are friendly enough but that's really as far as it goes. The pictures online are a bit deceptive - staged with perfect lighting. Worst is the breakfast. A step down from the usual Holiday Inn Express. You have to check in to get your plate. Choices are limited, breads and fruits are pre-packaged and there's a push to upsell you on the uninviting hot items (an extra 10 dollars). Also the coffee is the institutional burnt variety. Anything better will cost you an extra fiver. Disappointing, especially for what they charge.
