This is a great location;15 minute walk from the bus station (20 at most). There are great restaurants and shops within a block. There is a bakery on almost every corner. The staff were super friendly and accommodating. The size of the rooms were great and fit our needs. I would stay here again. The only Cons were the stairs if you have heavy luggage. One of the employees were very kind and helped us with our luggage. The other Con is the noise. YES, it's very noisy. It's very loud with your windows open. The Pro is the apartments itself are very quiet. You do NOT hear any of the other neighbors. I loved my stay here, just bring EAR PLUGS for the outside noise.

“Very well situated”

Centrally located (a little too far from the train station). Not really a hotel but rather appartments for rent. Nice large room, no service, no breakfast (had to go out to the bakery next door). Impossible to let our luggage on the day we left.

Though we only needed two plain hotel rooms for one night, we decided to book Elisabeth Brau Apartments for they had the lowest available rate (80 Euros, no meals included) and this turned out to be the best decision ever. Our apartments on the 3rd floor (sorry, no elevator, but the luggage was brought to the apartment) were well furbished, spotlessly clean, spacious enough for a family of 4 and generously equipped with free coffee and tea as well as a mini bar full of drinks and snacks. From our room we had a perfect view of Elisabeth Church and the surrounding Christmas Market and with the windows closed you could enjoy a healthy sleep undisturbed from the noises of the busy streets beneath you. Getting breakfast with a 20%off coupon in an adjacent bakery was an experience in itself as you got easily in touch with the locals who would readily advise you where to find the nicest places and best deals in Marburg.

Elksabeth Brau Apartments are in a strategically placed location directly opposite the Elisabeth Church and on the very edge of the Altstadt, walking distance to the train and supermarket and everything you need. However for the price, the apartment was not very well appointed- no dishwasher, no washing machine, no oven, minimal kitchen implements, and small kitchen. There was only one bathroom and the TV was in one of the bedrooms. For 4 adults this was a challenge. The bedrooms were huge and well appointed but this space could have been better used for a bigger kitchen or lounge/ living area. The other problem was the noise from the bar next door- we heard revellers until about 3 in the morning on both Friday and Saturday nights which made sleep very difficult. We would not stay here again.
