We just wrapped up a stay here and, honestly, this is a really strong property in almost every way that matters. The hotel itself is new and modern, and it shows. Everything feels fresh, clean, and well thought out. The rooms functioned great—comfortable, clean, and laid out in a way that actually makes sense when you’re on a beach trip. A small thing that shouldn’t be overlooked: ice machines on every level. That’s one of those details that makes life easier and surprisingly isn’t always there. The pool area is a major highlight. It’s expansive, the lazy river is excellent, and the whole setup feels like a true resort-style experience. The lobby deck overlooking the pool is also a great touch—perfect spot to relax and take it all in. And here’s something that deserves real credit: umbrellas. This is one of the very few beach hotels I’ve been to where you don’t have to wake up at dawn and play the “claim your spot” game. There are enough umbrellas for guests, and that alone significantly improves the experience. Having Fishheads onsite is another big plus—convenient and a nice addition to the overall stay. Now…the breakfast. I don’t say this lightly: it’s among the worst hotel breakfasts I’ve experienced anywhere—beach property or otherwise. And what makes it more frustrating is how easily it could be fixed. This isn’t about needing a full overhaul or expensive upgrades. It’s basic execution. One waffle maker at a busy beach hotel is simply not enough. There’s plenty of unused space in the breakfast area—add a second one. They’re inexpensive and would immediately cut down the long lines. Same issue with the toaster. One unit creates unnecessary backups and frustration. The result? Guests standing in line four deep just to make a waffle. That’s not a great way to start the day. But the most puzzling part: They don’t even offer waffles on weekdays. I stayed Saturday night and finally got a waffle on Sunday. Then I stayed Sunday night…no waffles on Monday. When I asked, I was told they only put the waffle maker out on weekends. That decision makes no sense. The waffle station is one of the least labor-intensive parts of breakfast—no cooking, no staff involvement beyond setup. It’s a low-cost, high-impact item that guests clearly want. Why remove it during the week? Bottom line: This is a great hotel with a lot going for it—modern, clean, excellent pool area, thoughtful amenities, and a relaxed, enjoyable atmosphere. But the breakfast is a glaring weak spot that drags down the experience more than it should. The good news? This is a fixable problem. Add a second waffle maker, add another toaster, and offer waffles every day—and suddenly this goes from a frustrating experience to one of the better complimentary breakfasts out there. Right now: great hotel, disappointing breakfast. With a few small changes: this place could easily be top-tier.

My wife and I recently stayed at this hotel and overall had a pleasant experience. The property itself is very nice, and the amenities are a big draw such as the beachfront restaurant and the lazy river. There are a couple of areas where expectations didn’t quite match reality. The website highlights a “spectacular complimentary breakfast,” but in our experience it was average at best—perfectly fine, just not something we would describe as standout. Our biggest concern, however, was the noise level around the pool areas. The music was consistently very loud—more like a nightclub atmosphere than a relaxing beach resort. It made it difficult to read, unwind, or simply enjoy the sound of the ocean. The website suggests that guests seeking tranquility can retreat to the smaller pool and the hot tub, but unfortunately, we didn’t find those areas to be any quieter. Even from our balcony overlooking the beach, we had hoped to relax with a book and listen to the waves, but that proved challenging. Music was playing loudly as early as 8:00 a.m., which took away from the peaceful coastal experience we were looking for. We imagine we’re not the only guests who feel this way. Lowering the music to a more subtle, background level would go a long way in creating a more balanced atmosphere that accommodates both those looking for energy and those seeking relaxation. Overall, it was a nice stay with great amenities, but adjusting the volume and tone of the music would significantly improve the experience.

Just okay. Stayed mid April, not overly crowded other than breakfast. (I don’t recommend) The rooms are clean and modern the bed was also comfortable, i really enjoyed the lazy river…….. Until feces was found floating. They immediately had everyone get out of the pool, used a pool skimmer and brush, threw a little bleach in and within 30 minutes guests were allowed back in. I was floored they allowed people back in. The music is also too loud at the pool, overly loud to where you can’t even relax. I felt like they were competing with the hotels next door on who had the loudest music. There were plenty of chairs and umbrellas. Pool towels are equivalent to hand towels (3 towels equals a normal size pool towel) bring your own, also can’t take their towels to the beach. The drinks at fish head were good but over priced. Avg $15 per cocktail. The bottled water in the lobby $4 per bottle. Micro price gouging adds up. Would I stay here again, maybe…. Just didn’t have the best first impression. You can’t beat the view. Recommend bringing in a coffee bar for purchase ( coffee at breakfast was trash, but free!) Normal size towels, rules for kids not potty trained in the big pool, keep the music just turn it down a notch, lower drink prices.
