This "Berg-Refugium" is so perfect that we have booked it already twice for our winter vacations. The moment we arrived we felt at home! The owners are very charming, friendly and willing to meet special requests. The attention to detail is impressive throughout the decoration, the art displayed, and the landscaping. Our apartment, which was extremely clean, had all essential amenities and more including a wonderful fireplace! Bedroom was spacious; the bathroom had shower in the bath; the kitchen/living room came with a breathtaking view over the valley and mountains (and large balcony). Great sauna and yoga studio; and a charming rustic "Stöbli" (bar) with a honor system (beer, wine and great schnapps) are also available. They also offer locally made meals including vegetarian options. Very good place to walk our 2 dogs (there is also a very good paved trail along the river in the near-by village. You won't regret booking this place!

I went at the end of March for skiing for a long weekend. The apartment was great; good view and nice decoration. The sauna was new and well maintained and there were seats to look out over the valley too. You can switch it on when you come in. There's a traditionally styled room downstairs, where you can get drinks, which was cosey. I didn't get to use the room (disappointingly). I hired the equipment at the Sport Harry and stored it there but I think there's storage below the lifts if you have your own stuff. The walk is down a steep hill; we just drove it. If you want the ski shuttle it is a couple of euros and you need to organise it the night before. For breakfast, we go bread from the baker (delivered in the morning) and on Sunday we ordered bread from pferd auf wolke (who also do nice dinner). There's a supermarket on the way to the lifts. The lifts take a while to get to the top (20mins?) so best to be early.

Clean and well equipped apartment. We stayed in the Piz Buin and had a nice view of the village. The apartment had to rooms and a combined dinner/livingroom. The dining/livingroom is a bit small, but as the place offers a lot of other spaces (sauna, yogaroom, playroom for the kids and kellerstöbli) it did not really matter. The service and friendliness of the owners of Tanafreida was something extra. We used the shuttle service to get to and from the ski lifts and it worked out excellent with good timing of the pickup. This is an excellent choice if you fancy a visit in the Silvretta Montafon and St Gallenkirch.

“Perfect as usual”

We’ve been coming to this place every summer for many years now and we’re definitely going again next year. It’s beautiful, clean, practical and family friendly. We love it! Thank you Alexandra and Steffen!
